Are the temps on the motor still high? I don't know if I want to go for the same motor as you or find an alternative as I may do some racing (just for fun, I know taking the CD out isnt the best option for racing) and want a reliable setup.
If I made a fan for the end of the motor would it reduce the temps considerably?

I havent run the car yet, im waiting for some screws to come in along with my front center dogbone, a fan on the motor will help alot, its really reliable, wayy less moving parts

Anyone have any opinions on this motor? http://www.hobbycity.com/hobbycity/s...idProduct=6231
It seems narrower but longer and has a better kv rating. Forgetting the difference in kv would there be any difference in power between that 42-60C and the 55-50B? Does the extra length of the 42-60 make up for the lack of width?
One more question, I will be running slightly higher voltage, (6s1p A123 - 19.8v) will this make the motor run cooler or hotter?
Thanks
