How easily did the case come apart? The reason I ask is my Sidewinder case came apart a couple times at the track, the cases are identical in the way the two pieces come together.

It's HUGE compared to the MM... especially with the case!!
But the total of the guts isn't much more, if it was configured in a double deck, narrow design like the MM. The fat wires add a lot of weight in comparison also.
I have it ready to run now but it's late and I'm not feeling too great.... so maybe tomorrow I can get some runtime and hopefully a little video too?

Seems to be a solid case design... there are lock tabs on all four sides. It's easy to take apart but with 8 tabs I think it should hold together very well.

To compare, I weighed a Mamba Max with 30mm fan and UBEC, all wires etc and it was about 3.9oz.
If I used 12ga wire on the Monster, it might drop it to about the same?
Future production runs of the Monster will have the bullets, so that would be an option.
I don't really see the need for more than 12ga wire unless a setup is pulling a constant 100+ amps... which is very rare. But, Castle thinks the 10ga is a good thing. :)

Yep, and the fan just slips into the top of the case, anchored on little posts. It's 5v btw...

I can't understand why this MMM have only one layer of printed circuit, and the MGM controller have 3 layer of printed circuit, and it's rate for about the same

Castle uses more powerful FETs, apparently.

It's two circuit boards on the MMM - One six layer ultra heavy copper power board, and a four layer, high density control ("brain") board.

It would have been extremely nice for the receiver wires and switch to be replacable lie the fan. I was really hoping that the final model wouldn't have ANY wires soldered on. It would be nice to have a plug for receiver wires so that we could replace them within warranty without sending them in for re-wiring. Not only that, but you could choose custom length leads for different applications. Some people want a 3 inch lead while someone else may want an 8 inch. Also the switch. On all of my mamba maxes the switch leads have gotten bunked up one way or another. It'd be nice to have a switch you could just unplug and replace. But the receiver wire especially. With the leadless 6.5mm bullet version it'd be nice to have a wireless modular design with plugs for everything. If not that, then extra heavy receiver & plug wires & insulation would make it better. They're always just a little too dainty for my taste.
Anyway, there's no question I'll end up with one either way. I'm stoked! Now in retrospect, If you guys would have designed it with plugs and variable BEC voltage I'd probably die from an excitement induced heart attack. Right now I'm only at a near-death heart rate. I can't wait to get mine :)
