I hope I just happened to get a lemon.
Damn, unlucky to hear. Hope I don't get any issues

Hey Dicky have you considered consulting a voodoo priestess about getting rid of the dark cloud over your ESC's?

Sadly yesterday my MGM let out a puff of smoke that david copperfield could have made a 747 materialize from. Since I had planned on waiting for castle to release the motor combos and all the pre-sales are sold out I'm likely now looking at 6 weeks until I can get a new controller. At least you should be able to get yours repaired or replaced sooner then that.

Well on the upside I decided to try ordering a MM from Mike again (after getting the out of stock notice yesterday) and was able to place an order and use the 2nd discount code! So maybe now I'll only be down for 4 weeks or less if I'm lucky.

I tell ya if I had the kind of luck that Dicky has had lately I'd have to tell the old lady I was going back to custom motorcycles so I could save some $$$.

I will let you know the two minutes the Monster ran it was incredibly smooth. I have been running the MGM controller and it made the MGM look like a piece of junk. The MGM runs so rough; however my MGM has been running strong for 5 months now. I really think it was the 6s on the BEC. I had been setting up the steering servos. The braking was really good also. It makes a funny noise during the braking.
Has anyone else out there been running it on 4s or 5s with out any problems?

Been running mine with a Neu 1527 on 6S with no problems yet. And this is on a heavy Savage with a 5955 333-oz steering servo and a 645 braking servo. So far the BEC is holding up. Fingers crossed!

Although I didn't get to do some extended bashing today, I did do some test runs in front of my house with the Monster. Since I'm still waiting for my 1515/1y to show, I'm still running an 8xl in my FLM Savage on 4s. I programmed in the exact same settings that I had in my MM: Start power-high, Traction control-off and the low speed cogging issues I had before are GONE. The throttle is now super smooth and I swear the acceleration is faster. I can't wait to jump this thing.

I guess I'll have to wait til next weekend to give it a good beating.

Hmmm. I'd be worried because a 1y on 5s seems like it would kill any ESC, and so far it has.

Get me back into RC!
