I just saw this - http://store.irobot.com/product/inde...ductId=2874296.

Looks like it might have some very interesting RC project potential....long wheel base for a high speed straight line runner, tracked rc rig? I noticed it was 7.2V, and waterproof. Not too bad a price for something to experiment with....

Doubt it. Maybe a Mamba 4600 on 2s? 3s possibly?

The main problem I saw with it was lack of steering. It looked like it was only designed to go straight.

Ok then; a dual BL setup using smaller ESC/motors and a Nomadio radio in "tank mode"...

If it only has one motor it only has one gearbox; probably driving both sides. So I don't think it's possible to even modify it to turn. You could buy two of them and pull a Frankenstein...
