Is this a good lipo pack for a 1/8 buggy - 05.14.2008, 12:56 AM

Apache 5s 18.5v 3700mah LiPo Battery Pack is this a good pack for a 1/8 buggy.

Battery selection depends a lot upon motor selection, ESC, and gearing. I'd think the 3750 would be a bit small. Got a link ?

Wouldnt it depend on the C rating? and the MAH is fine if hes doin like a 5 or 10minute main.

Oh jason, the mm is runing perfectly on 5s!!!

Good to hear about the MM. And yeah, it's going to depend on C rate as well, but as we know, c rating can sometime be like the amp rating on cheap car audio amplifiers, lol. That's why I asked for a link to the pack.

I will be using the mamba monster combo hen it comes out and then on gearing i am not sure yet. and i want a batt that i can run for 20 minutes or am i just dreaming about that.

Running the 2200 kv 1515 based motor that the combo will come with on 5s may be a bit too much for an 1/8 buggy. However, if you gear it lower and turn the settings down on the MMM you should be able to get 20mins out of that pack. I run the same thing, poly rc brand, but the same pack, in my revo and it works fine, plus i can get more than 20mins out of mine.

ok great so should i use 4s and if i do will i get more or less run time i am going to have that be a track buggy.
