batteries for revo? - 05.16.2008, 06:51 AM

I'm having trouble figuring out a 6 or 7s2p layout on my revo, so I'm looking to get some new lipos because my old ones suck.

I'm looking at some polyquest packs, and was thinking of getting something smaller to use in some of my other smaller trucks too.

I was thinking of running 6s 3300mah (2x 3s) of the 25C XP packs. Is the capacity too low? I was running 4000mah 20C before, but they were pretty old cheap chinese packs, and probably underrated.

I was geared for 40mph with the other ones and my 11XL and lipos were absolutely cooking after a couple mins runtime, so ill drop a few teeth on the pinion and gear for closer to 35, maybe a bit under to see how it goes... Everyone I hear is running 6000 and 8000's etc, anyone have any experience with these though? I'm hoping since its 6s and quality packs it will still be ok..

For 6s on a 11xl the 3300 packs should be fine. I run a 25c 3700 5s pack in my revo and it works fine. I still have the 2 speed and mech brakes. My truck is geared for almost 45mph.
