K i understand the statement now. Never seen them mgt 3.0 in action. i love my savage and just hesitant to explore beyond that i guess. I did go traxxas once with the jato 3.3 and while it was fast and fun it didnt hold up to abuse very well. I need a truck that will never break dont we all though

well i say if you want on road yet able to go light off road the jato is the way to go. but like everyone else said it will be heavy. if you stricktly want onroad speed get a touring car. The jato is also 2 wheel drive and is a very squirrelly vehicle. i know hpi makes the mt2 which is 4 wheel drive but again is heavy. Personally i like to be able to go off road and have speed so i would go with the mt2 because of the 4 wheel drive yet it is small enough to get going fast, just not sure of 80 mph fast.

A GTP or DM-ONE would be as good choice for a powerful on road / speed run setup

I would not bash a tmaxx if I were you, you do have a duratrash vehicle.
I will say that a savage is a stronger truck than a tmaxx. Not sure if the mgt is any better, as I have not owned one. I have been very happy with the performance of my new emaxx, and the old ones do ok too, until you add alot of weight.

IMO I think you should get the upgraded helical cut diff ring gear and the bevel before you sell the raze and then make up your mind on if you want it or not.
