Greenie Question: Gmaxx extended chassis stuff

Hi guys,
After looking at some of the truck builds on here, wow very nice stuff!

I have purchased a used (but nearly mint) gmaxx extended chassis for my emaxx.

I'm having problems finding what drive shafts I need to use to reach my diffs?
I searched here, and other forums to no avail. Anyone on here know what shafts I need to purchase?

Also I would love if I could have the body sit lower. My posts are down as far as I can get them, but the gmaxx batt tray still hangs below the body. Without paying $400 for a gmaxx suspension kit... what towers can I use to get the body to sit a little lower?

Would a losi 8ight-t body even fit at all?

Don't know about your other questions, I have a G2R and have never tried to fit a body on it (I will, just matter of when...).

RCM does sell some suitable center shafts, try these: clicky, same as i run on my truck.

On the tower front, you have but a few options, but they are nice ones thankfully:

With the DUH website, you can use the maxx ones, or the low profile dominator hybrid towers- may need to use shorter shocks though like 1/8 buggy fronts.

Dont know about other bodies though, you'd need to compare wheel bases, and definately drill some new body post holes. On the body post issue, you can make your own by buying some nylon rod the correct diameter, then cross drill it with holes in the desired locations so you can have the bodies really low. The old tmaxx and emaxx bodeis fit, though the wheel arches dont line up, or the new emaxx and tmaxx bodies will fit nicely, same too with the revo 3.3 spec bodies, though you may still need to drill new body post holes.

Why don’t you just use your Traxxas ones??. I've got them on both of my GorillaMaxx builds and they are holding up great so far..

Yes I know, your stock e-Maxx front drive shafts is too short.. Just buy & install a rear one there in it's place.. Your total drive live assembly is now $15.00 and better yet it's off the shelf..

If your using 1/8 hybrid diffs then just buy this part for the pinions and still use your Traxxas drive lines.. http://www.rc-monster.com/proddetail...coupler&cat=44

Well I havent had the time to seek out the suggested driveshafts just yet... but I will here most likely this week. I am REALLY glad I found this forum with everyone giving me such helpful advice!

I just got some wabash wheels this weekend and my adapters are almost here, once they arrive I'll snap some photos for ya!
