What kind of battery is it? Brand?
A bec is a battery eliminator curcuit, basically it powers the rec and servos via the main battery, so you do not need to use and external rx pack.
You most likely pulled it down too low leaving it plugged in.
Ok confirmed dead. Plugged it into the ESC it blinked and chirped a dozen times then shut off. The Hyperion was able to read the 4 cells, it said 5.3v, it would not charge saying voltage to low on cell 1, or 4 .. it varied.
So this is a $150 lesson learned. I knew better... been busy lately, it thats any excuse.
So it sounds like if I get a BEC I can go higher than 4S on my Quark 125b. I was sticking with 4S because the quark recommends external rx pack if u go beyond 4s. So all I need is a BEC to go beyond 4s?
I would run a bec if you go over 3s. The internal bec will put out quite a bit of heat, even with 3s. Get a cc bec and disable the internal bec by removing the red wire from the quark rec wire.
General concensus is that the quark is only good to 5s. I run a 125b on 6s in my hyper8 buggy, but it is not geared high, and the buggy is light. So less load on everything.
