How about everyone posts the date they think is best for them and everyone else, and then we'll see the day that the most people can make it.
So the people that seem to be coming so far are:
jnev
rschoi_75
TDC57
MetalMan
BP-Revo
drkros3
BL_RV0 (maybe)
I am sure that there are more than just these 7 people that are close to Orange County...

Hey jnev, I'm pretty sure I can get close to 8 guys out there running brushless. Maybe ARC will be up and running by then. That will pretty much be the track to go to when it opens.

Anyway, I think we should start planning the date for some time early July. What do you guys think? Any idea's for an exact day and date to plan it on? Friday... Sat... Sunday...?

There is an indoor track opening up by the end of this month. However, they have a major problem - pricing. Check it out:
http://ocrcraceway.com/membership.html
It's kinda hard to tell from the website, but it appears that a $40 membership will be mandatory to even drive on the track, and then it will be $10 more for a day of practice. I can find out whether my assumptions are true or not and report back.

The 13th and 20th are both open for me currently, and will probably stay that way. If anyone has any opposition to either date, let it be known!

Where is ARC? To me ARC stands for Anteater Recreation Center, which is the gymnasium/sports complex at UCI that I go to.

ARC is actually the new track that will be in Temecula and is supposed to replace the old one that closed (forgot name of old one). But it looks like 13th and 20th seem to be the best days for everyone.
Now the next step is to decide where. Revelation Raceway seems to be a very nice track, but is also pretty far for those from San Diego, although I can probably make it, as I would stay overnight in OC at some relatives house... Even from OC it is like an hour or something away. OCRC raceway may be another candidate but from the video I saw of it, it looks quite a bit too small for any mt's, truggies, or similar sized rc's. I guess its all right though if you have a 1/8 buggy or smaller rc's. I personally would run my CRT.5 and my rc18t there, but my Revo would probably be too big, although I would probably bring it just to try.
What do you all think? Any suggestions of where to have it?

How about at The Dirt? They have $5 open practice on sundays from 11am-4pm according to their website. I've never been there, but from what I can see in their gallery, the track is made for 1/8th scale. I know these guys are a popular track so it may be crowded as well.
*edit* HotBox may be a good option as well since its right in between LA and San Diego. The track looks like a 1/10th track though. Or.... we could go to SV Speedway in LA. That's a 15 min drive from where I'll be staying.
Here's a list of tracks ripped from a rctech thread:
Revelation in Ontario

HotBox in Santa Ana

SV Speedway in Sun Valley/Burbank

Crystal Park raceway in Compton

The Dirt in Hemet

Hot Rod Hobbies in Saugus

I think LA is too far for everyone... except you that is. But anything between there and San Diego seems to be fine. I think The Dirt is the track that may have closed, and now ARC replaced it. Here is there website:
http://arcraceway.com/
And here is where it is being talked about, as well as more and better pictures:
http://www.rctech.net/forum/showthre...=196269&page=5
It should also be open by the end of the month, so it will definitely be open by mid July when the bash is...

Well for it’s worth, I’ve got a suburban that will hold 6 adults + driver and all of the MT/buggies.. I live in orange country so we can meet at my house and head out from there?? (Just a thought).. Regardless I'm in..
Question for the team, how about a large open bashing area. I can call some of my dirt bike ridding buddies and see if they of any areas between OC / SD ??? (Again just a thought)..
Have a great one..
Shaun.

I personally would actually prefer just a huge spot to bash. Maybe find a place with some sand dunes or similar... some of us can bring some plastic ramps, etc.
Carpooling sounds good, depending how far the place that we will go to is. And please do ask your dirtbike friends TDC57 about some places. I know some nice placed to bah at in San Diego, but I think more people would show up if it were in OC (between LA and SD).
My calender is marked for the 13th and 20th so either day is fine for me.

Unfortunately the Hot Box dirt track (1/8 outdoor) has been closed for over a year due to noise complaints by a bitch neighbor. The owner (Cruz) has a new location and is currently cleaning up the lot in preparation for a new track to be built there. It's going to take a while for the Hot Box to open up again.
Revelation is a nice track, but as mentioned it is far away (45mins for me when cruising at 85mph on the freeway!), and tends to be crowded. When Mike came out here he and I met up at Revelation for a night of track running. It was fun :)..
I don't mind driving, though. Heck when Mike was out here I made three separate trips to and from Ontario/Pomona, with two of those trips taking 2+ hours in one direction due to traffic.
If we decide to do a bash instead of running at a track, there's a pretty nice spot right next to my house. Michael (BP-Revo) and I have bashed at this park a couple times. Here's a video to check out the park:
http://video.google.com/videoplay?do...JIbsqgORlMipCQ
The dirt is totally movable, so making large jumps would be no problem . Just a suggestion.
