Anyone got pics of their "work space"... -
05.20.2008, 06:14 PM
I am setting up a new "work" area...much to the wife's deilight for my cars, bench, storage and could use some ideas on setting something up that is functional. Unfortunately, my space is extremely limited, so every bit of space must be used to the fullest. Anyway pics would be greatly appreciated.

Picked up these cabinets and counter top along with several other cabinets from my work with the intent of putting them in the garage but they worked out quite well for this.
Top drawer pull-out for the basic tools...
Middle drawer for the electrical stuff.... has a sliding tray which came in very handy
Having the window is a plus too

Here is my workspace in the garage.
A small compressor for cleaning the RC's after a good day of playing and my Sentry safe for storing the Lipo's.

The workbench with the Twin Force charging.

Some shelves for storing the RC's.

Random tools and stuff.

What amazes me is how much stuff you need for this hobby and how fast it adds up. As soon as you get one r/c car you HAVE to get another and that leads to another and another, etc...As much as we sometimes complain at wrenching on our rigs, for me at least, there is something thera-putic about working on the cars/trucks.

I have never actually used all of them at once. I know it's a little overkill ,but the price was right (free) .

Due to the heat here in Arizona my garage is unusable beyween the months of May-September so I try to do more of my work in the cooler months, but if I cant avoid it I have enough rooms in my house where I can do some work and it not be a problem

Ask and yee shall receive!
A few lipos in my rc tool box:
Motor storage area: (just kidding that is the rug)
I have a 30x15 room that has all of the rc stuff in it now. I even have some pegboard for new parts. The room has a couch and futon in it, and will have a full A/V setup when we buy a new flatscreen for the living room at home. And I will be adding room a/c, instead of the wall unit! I have 3 large 5 shelf racks that hold most of the rc stuff. I need to take some pics, but gotta clean up first!
My workbench is actually my old kitchen table! I have a chair next to it with a tackle box with the rc related tolls in it. Kinda low tech, but it works, and I do not need to clean up every night! Out in the shop I have 5 more craftman boxes with all manner of tools, and a frame rack, paint booth (both for 1:1 cars) and all manner of other tools.
