Sorry I am just making a point about how we do things that bite us in the butt. Working with anything can be dangerour if you forget just one little thing or overlook the simplest factor that puts you in a bad position. Have fun but for God sakes think and be careful with what you are doing. We enjoy our community here at RCM and none of us wants to see anyone get hurt. Life is good.
oh it wasn't actually wood or anything. mainly meant to be metaphorical. It was laminate on concrete in a open but secure monitored area. It only burnt the laminate on the floor. I have since then invested in lipo sacks for charging and i have a superbrain (not in my head, in my charging place)
I knew enough when it happen to not charge by flammable material. I now know more and use all the safety tech i can.

Thats cool "BL is future", I am not trying to be cruel to anyone, but by adding/making this point it may help others who might not have thought of these issues. Glad to hear that you learned soemthing from a potentially dangerous accident and have take even more precaustions, and that the issue was not too serious. People have burnt down their homes doing such simple things just because the did not think of the factors involved playing with toys. I have heard of people charing batteries on carpeting... Oh well..

There are multiple (probably close to 10) smoke detectors in the house, but not a single in the garage... where the batteries are charged. Maybe I should change that...
