Will this work? - 05.24.2008, 03:59 PM

Just a quick question, will the Hyperion LBA10 LiPo Balancer work on the 989 Super Brain? Would this fit on it with no mods? if not is there a equal or better AC/DC charger on the market? that Impaktrc sells? (trying to buy most thing on 1 site)

I really didnt want to buy that hyperon charge since ill be charging high voltage, high mah packs (4s, 5s and 6s at 6000mah)

So the hyperion balancer will work on the super brain? Where would the plug be on it so i can search it up?

ac/dc chargers usually dont have much output (50 watts)and if you want to charge @ 1C with the packs you have listed you will need an output of at least 100 watts and allow yourself extra 20% for lost effiency so if you need 80 watts you will need to charge @ 100 watts, I have the 0610i and a 18amp PS and I have plenty of room...the charger can output 250watts and the PS is good for 270 watts before the 20% is subtracted

So you recommend that charger over the super brain? How long will it take to charge a flightpower 6s 5000mah?

I have that same pack for my Revo and its about 1Hr you dont want to go any faster than 1c, but you can get a 85-90 % charge in about 30 mins with lipo the 2nd half of a charge is a trickle charge

Thanks, will this work for the balancer connecting to the 6s 5000mah flightpower lipo?
Link: http://www.impaktrc.com/product_info...oducts_id=2117

If not is there any other connectors i could use to charge only flightpower batts (1 4s, 1 5s and 1 6s)
The sites i would like to order from are:

you need the hyperion to Flightpower adapter

http://www.impaktrc.com/product_info...oducts_id=2186

it will plug into the Hyperion 0610i charger (it has a built in balancer)
