entjoles, I really like the way you mounted your servo. I already incorparated that idea in my Kysoho E-STRR conversion and I will do the same to my buggy (turn it 90 degrees) and mount on a plate. It really makes access to the motor mount screws a lot easier (for gear mesh adjustment/motor removal).

it has worked out good so far, i did break a servo case, but that was w/o the plate on the bottem, or the stand offs

if i ever do a buggy (808) i would do something similar but with a micro servo

and i usually just take out the diff to change gearing and such, but i have been thinking of using a L allen wrench to change it the next time

i really like these axial stand offs, i plan on making a esc. mount with them that is somewhat like the one that comes with RCM crt.5 conv. kit, i just need to get a mamba monster first

i will be getting some track time this weekend so i will let you know if it doesnt hold up

I built a servo mount last night and installed it in my Kyosho buggy. The original design I used with the stock servo plate had a lot of flex because it had only three mounting points. The new mount is much stronger, and the best thing is I can remove two screws and the entire brake servo can be swung out of the way for access to the pinion/motor mounts and the brake/servo adjustments are not impacted.

looks great, i like those custom mounts, and this is a very sturdy way to mount the brake servo

my version mixed motor brake and mechanical rear brake. been working for months without a problem. with a long lever arm you do not need a full size servo.

got to run some yesterday, it is sweet, my skills suck but the truck ran great, now i just need to get at least one more battery and get my butt to the track

looks good,thats a good idea as well,the longer linkage looks to give a mech. advantage and being able to turn it on/off is an added benefit, plus it saves a few grams.
