This is a niche market - There are no other "shops" that I'm aware of doing pre-converted cars. If you add up the cost of donor car, motor, esc and bats - I'm sure it is getting above 2k.
Chris is running a business I'm sure he doesn't expect to sell that many and has to recover his time and investment. This is targetted at a few people with money who want a pre-done car. My analogy - some people buy an old car and spend hours rebuilding it, some buy an old car and send it to a shop to renovate, some buy the once it is clean, some buy a modern replica. There are always horses for courses - variety and choices are the spice of life (eh linc) Best of luck IMO |
