1st batch MMM, any tips to save it?

Hello,

I'm waiting for a Traxxas connector and my E-Revo (MMM, 9XL, 4S 8000) will be finished.

Any tips to "break" the (first batch) MMM in with minimal risk of failure?

Well, you could remove the fan:

That should reduce your chances of having a failure.

My MMM is still in the box,my car is not ready now.
What should i do? Trying and maybe dead?

Why do we have to pick our poison? CC has acknowledged the fact that a high percentage of the "first batch" of MMM are defective.

Why should the early adopters pay for that?

that goes with being the first buyers of a new item...most of the time there will be bugs....the reason I will never buy a new MS operating system within the first year that it is released...I did gamble with the MMM though so far so good

Either it fails or it doesn't. Not sure if there's any way to mitigate the failure.

Then it might fail from overheating, unless you put a different fan on it. FWIW, my fan failed, the monster is still going strong. I'm not running it tho, due to the fact I don't have another fan to stick on it at the moment.

Exactly.

Castle is doing a great job of taking care of affected customers. Sure, we would have all preferred this to be without kinks, but they happen and are dealt with. Castle is a class act, so I have no worries about the Monster.

That is a possibility, but at least for my setup a MM was used previously with no fan, only four 330uF low-ESR caps, and in my 1/8 buggy the MM didn't go above 140 F. The MMM even without fan shouldn't reach anything beyond 110 F, I think.

Re the fan issue- you could always run some longer wires to the built-in fan (or a suitable replacement) and power it from the Rx or main power wires, depending on its voltage. I may do that anyway, even though Kulangflow tested my esc for me before shipping it.
