Ok well here it goes. Serving in the US Navy for over 20 years has taken me around the world and back again. So I have had the opertunity to drink stuff that would never be seen or even heard of in the USA. In the end I reached a point of reflection upon my life and realized that I had spent way too many mornings waking up wishing that I had not gone out the night before. Looking back I had some good times, but the damage being done to ones body can never be reversed. I watched my father drink himself to an early grave and decided not to follow in his footsteps. Diing or watching them die from liver damage is horrible.

In comparason we poor tons of money into our R/C hobby stuff, but in the end if we decide to leave the hobby we can sell it all and recover a large portion of our investment. When you invest your money in Booze of any kind you watch your money get pissed right down the drain and what do you have to show for that investment? I still drink occasionally, but it is rare and very little in comparason now. I have also seen both sides of what happens from drunk driving accidents and none of it is worth the losses on either side. I wish you all the best in your drinking endevours, and hope that you do it as responsibly as possible leaving no one hurt in your paths. Good luck with that.

The local Sams' discount has been selling 20 liter Heineken Tapvats as they are called for $17, contains 13-14 full glasses. Nice deal.

Besides beer, I like an ice cold Bloody Mary as long as the vodka is decent, no paint thinner for me. Been mixing with Frieze Vodka lately. Also have a taste for cut above tequila, currently drinking Milagro Repasado.

My wife folks all were railroaders and all had a severe prob with alcohol, except her grandfather who managed to quit. Wife's Mom had serious prob and wife suffered from fetal alcohol syndrome at birth (weighed little more then 4lbs back when low birth weight was a serious risk).

Her father fell and broke his hip - was given 4oz of bourbon every 4 or 6 hrs (can't remember) while in the hospital cause his alcohol problem was that serious. He didn't last long.

Have fun, but don't overdo it - comes with a steep price!

Tequila and Lime, Sauza commemorotivo or Caba Wabo, K1 or Absolute and Tonic 50/50 with a lime, Jack and coke, Import beer by the bottle, domestic by the case I mean can. Wine with dinner, Champagne to celebrate. Then me and my fiancee/commonlaw wife quit drinking 6 months ago for no particular reason just after my 36th birthday. Guess I wanted to get inshape and quit smoking and my lady annoys me when shes buzzed. Now I drink 4 -12 Monster sodas a day, and come to find out they are made by Anheuser-Busch. They still have me in their pocket the swines.

OOOoooo it does my heart and liver good to know that I'm not the only one here who has the RC addiction and opportunity to enjoy that most sacred moments of undisrupted silence with a stiff shot, whine glass, frosted mug, salted margarita glass, or at least one kind of another brain (numbing) chemical… I’m HOME!!!

Nothing!.. Hahahahaaa..

when I go drinking its usually captain and coke, or anything with vodka. Then wash that down with a few shots (anything but tequila).

I'm a beer guy mostly. Guiness is good. Beamish is my fav. I usually settle for sam adams or redhook ESB. There's a local brewery near here, Highlands. They make a brew called Gaelic Ale which is quite nice. We call it barbitubeer, as it seems to be cut with barbituates. Something a little "extra strong" about that brew.

I enjoy a nice cabernet, or merlot, even a red zin on occastion. For liquor, I stick to vodka mostly. Kettle One usually. I like it with a splash of cran or pomegranate for color. Mmm.

Black Velvet & Coke and an occasional Vodka Cranberry (splash of oj) in the summer. Still have one drink a day after work in a 32ounch sipper while I'm messing with the cars or taking them and the dogs for a walk. Use to drink for the effect now it just the taste. Wasted a good 10 years sitting on the very same barstool every day after work. Seems like I'm trying to get those years back now. Tequila!!! Haven't touched it since the 10 days in Puerto Vallarta. Coming home we were getting off the plane in SF to switch flights. A lady dropped her carry on and broke a bottle of it. Two people got sick right on the spot just from the smell. Including my new ex-wife. I'm glad we were not taking the same plane the rest of the way.

A COLD beer when ever I swing by a friends house on the way home. A Dr. Pepper from the LHS. The LHS has a pop machine and the DR. Pepper is .50 It's like a gambling machine. Every third soda bought gets stuck in the machine. So every time in there I take the gamble to see if I'm the unlucky number three.
