Just curious, why specifically a Lehner? If you do get one, any support will be difficult to obtain.

I have some Lehners, but I might start using them once Lehner has the CS side figured out. Just imagine if you do need repair done for motors that are out of warranty, you might be looking at a cost of an equivalent Neu, plus you will have to wait and wait and wait to get it back .

You looking too? http://www.rc-monster.com/forum/showthread.php?t=12326
It's scarce out there. Supposedly Chris Fine has another batch coming. I'm not going to buy from him though. Lehner is supposedly going to start taking Paypal on their site, but with exchange rates, it will be very expensive that way.

I don't know about Mothman, but I preferred my Lehner to my Neu. Not a fair comparison (1950 vs 1512), but the Lehner just seemed more powerful and smoother. The smaller diameter helps fit in more of my conversion ideas. I prefer the enbbell wiring of the Lehner, but I never had one melt on me like others. Much of my opinion was also formed when Castle controllers had so much trouble running Neus. I haven't tried my MMM yet, but I came to the opinion to keep everything as compatible with everything else as possible.

I am not bashing Neus. In fact I just ordered a 1521. If I was to find a decent deal on a used Lehner 1950 though, I would snag it up.

I thought about running one of my Lehners 2240 or 2250, but I'm having some fun with my 1521/1Y so far. I will try to compare my 1521/1.5Y and my 2250-11 if time allows me. They seem to be the same Kv and length, but the 2250 is 44mm in diameter, but the 4 pole Neu should be able to provide more torque.

The only place to really get LMTs is http://www.hydromarine.de/ but I would hesitate (and did and got a Neu instead) because the exchange rate has made them really expensive.

I went to get a quote on a 1940 for a 1/8 buggy and with the exchange and shipping it was close to $500 USD - that's almost 2 Neu 1515s or 1521s.

Also - there is a bit of a language barrier with them. I asked for a quote and decided not to get it, but I got a PayPal request for payment about 2 weeks later as they had placed the order and were trying to bill me. It took about a week of back and forth e-mails (the time change usually made e-mail exchange take a few days for back and forth) to get the order finally canceled.

My personal opinion is that the Neu's are just as strong as the LMTs. And the new MMM run the Neus butter smooth - much smoother than the MM with the firmware update.
