update - 06.01.2008, 03:48 PM

i have the following on order:
  1. Kyosho Lazer ZX-5 SP kit
  2. HS-645MG Metal-Geared Hitec servo
  3. Pro-Line Inside Job 2.2" M3 Front & Rear
  4. Kyosho Spur Gear 48P 76T & 78T.
  5. Xtreme Racing Kyosho Lazer Thick Silver Carbon Fiber Front & Rear Shock Tower.
  6. Kyosho Special Blue Aluminum Front Suspension Holder
  7. Tony's Screws Kyosho Lazer ZX-5 Screw Kit
  8. Align Hexagon Screw Driver Set (1.5, 2.0, 2.5, 3.0mm)
  9. and some other stuff.
RTR vs kit(pro) - again there's no difference, i think, over the carbon composite materials use in both versions, it seems they are made with the same material. I've chosen the SP version for the purpose of building it from scratch and also i hate cheep servos and AM radios, those where going to be upgraded aniway, also i heard good things about the SP shocks, not that the rtr are bad, just the SP ones perform better.

I have tecnical problems with amainhobbies with shipping requirements but i hope to have this order on its way next week.

I had left the brushless system for last as I haven't desided witch one or witch will work best i still need to digg up some more info, but I think the mamba max 5700 or 6900kv will do fine.

thanks again

i have 2X 2s 5000 MA lipos and 4X 4200mAh sxs 6 cells, probably just lipos as i plan to sell the other batts but maby i'll keep two.

after reviewing top speeds on the MM types i think the 5700 is a better suited for the ZX-5

I also have a Kyosho ZX-5 buggy and love it. I am using a Feigao 380c 8T motor with a MM and a 3800mah 6 cell nimh pack and it is pretty fast. I have not had any issue so far. I think you will be very happy with your purchase.
