Not very wide at all. I'd guess somewhere in the 1.5" range. I think the big problem with beadlocks is going to be getting the proper offsets since the front and rear have different offsets like the Rustler/Stampede.

wow... I can't believe they are that big! At first glance, I thought your full size CRT was a crt.5... Looking good Sean.

There's two sides to every schwartz, he got the up side and I got the down side.

rcm crt.5

I guess I could have also mentioned that, for reference, those are 16" square tiles on my floor.

How tall are the tires Sean? Also, what gearing does it come with stock? I would most likely convert it to 32p, but would like to know the stock ratio.

Without having the tires in front of me, I have read they are 4.3" tall. The stock gearing according to the parts list is 19:86.

It would be nice if someone starts doing a cheap body for them - Would be interesting for a rally conversion for a buggy.

The gtp bodies cost a fortune!

Thanks! I still can't belive that Matthew ran his on 3s lipo!. I know that the motors are good for it, but I figured that the esc would smoke! I may give it a try with 3s on slightly lower gearing and see how it does. My current xl5/titan12t combo is in my tamiya high lift, which I usually run on 2s lipo. I guess we will see how 3s treats it!

Maybe the 12t titan just wants more voltage. I never really tried with mine but I suppose it's a possibility.

I got mine today, pulled the the esc and motor out of the vxl pede, swapped it into the slash, this Is definitely the funest truck I have had in a while. Handles the 3s & vxl so much better than the stampede, and big enough to run through grass no problem at all. I love it!

Well I figured the ESC would be fine because Traxxas says you can use an 8 cell NiMh which is close to a 3s, and the stock gearing felt pretty low. It held up fine, not as fast as whats in there now but plenty for a track.

So, I repeaked my 4s pack (it was less than half charged when I ran it yesterday), took the Slash back out and wow, it's insane! Wheelies no problem, going half throttle then flooring it caused it to pitch sideways and lean hard to one side, at quarter throttle then nailing it it would sometimes wheelie if the traction was there. Drove around hard for about 7min, MM was 150, Medusa 2200 was 150, and the battery was 95. Went back out with the 3s 8000 MaxAmps pack and it was still plenty powerful but a lot more controllable. I think this will be my new setup, it ran cooler as well. Hopefully pics up by tonight.
Oh, and a tip, the VXL mounting plate traxxas makes, PN: TRA3725, lines up perfect with the chassis holes, and it leaves tons of space underneath to hide the BEC.

i forgot all about the robotronic 4wd, i remember seeing that in some mag.

whats the wheelbase on that slash? the wheel base on my GS is inbetween a truggy and a buggy at 13.7 inches isnt the slashes wheel base around this, maybe i could grab a set of buggy tires to put on these advantage buggy wheels i have laying around and pick up a slash body and see how it looks?
