The CRT .5 is running rims where the drive pin keys straight into the rim. I plan to switch to a rim that utilizes a hex, so I can have aluminum hex hubs, as the pins will not tear through those and then the hexes can better distribute the power into the wheels.

Texas, the ground was dried clay/dirt, so it seems Holeshots would be the best. I had those on my CRT.5 and it hooked up very well. The Responses on my G2R did hold on decently well, but between the sheer power of the truck (and its weight), it didn't have the traction I wish it did. Badlands probably wouldn't have hooked up too much better - Mulchers probably wouldn't have hooked up at all. Some Holeshot MTRs would have been real nice though.

jnev, possibly some pictures. My friend brought his Digital SLR (Cannon Digital Rebel XT) and was snapping pictures all over. Not sure if he shot any of me driving. Good chance he did though. He has yet to process them and send them to me. At the very least I'll post up pictures of the camp and us launching model rockets (I know we have pictures of those).
