It the Thunder Power eXtreme V2 5000mAh packs that I got - but since both manufacturers use the Enerland lipo cells - it is essentially the same pack.

I got a chance to take the Revo out this morning for a little bit and battery/esc were totally cool (93* batt./108* ESC) but the motor was running pretty hot. After about 8 minutes reading 150* and after 12-13 min it was just over 170*.

I was noticing that the truck seemed to be running MUCH faster than the ~35mph the gearing called for and started to notice that the Talon tires baloon BIG. I think it was definitely more than 1" maybe even 1.5-2" total diameter. Throwing the numbers into the speed calculator gave me speeds of 46 - 52 mph which could explain the heat being generated at that gearing.

I have some smaller pinions and spurs coming in the mail for early next week, so i'll start using 1" ballooning in the calculator and try to go from 68/24 on the gearing to 62/18 which comes closer to the ~35-38 i'm looking for.

Even with the heat problems though, the truck was ballistic and soooooo smooth (and this was with 80% punch control on the MMM). I dumped about half the batteries in 17-18 minutes of running on asphalt and thick damp grass)

If anyone has some recommendations for a wheel/tire combo that is a good all around wheel (asphalt, grass, loose dirt) I am very interested to hear them.
