my 36-60-2000v2 with flightpower evo 5s and tekin r1pro did run under 130F in my 1/8 lightning gt [around 5kg rtr]... geared for 40ish...
i also run a 36-50-2200v2 on 14cells in my e-savage [1/10]... also stays under 130f... that truck is pretty similar [in weight] with a maxx, and i run a smaller [50mm] can with lower voltage and geared quite a bit short [22t pinion]...

he lives in Houston its comparable to where I live in Phoenix right now its pushing 100 degs by 10 am....I try to do my running @ 7am its only 85 degs ...
