I had similar issues with a 3.0. I would suggest an airtronics radio. I have an Mx3 fm synth, a m8 with spectrum, and a M11 that is setup to do am, fm, and spectrum. All are good radios, and hobby people are having a sale on the mx3 with 2.4ghz. I think it is $139, or something like that.

Cheaply priced and comes with 1 rx and i will buy a second rx at the time of the purchase.
Only question is will i be able to use the rx's from the 3pm with the 3pk or 4pk because if i find one cheap enough i will buy that later on. If they wont i might as well just go with a 3pk with only rx for now. Just dont need all the goodies a 3pk has but down the line when money is better it could be nice. Thanks
I havnt tried to see if the Rx would work with the 3pk and 4pk but the Rx on Tower shows it does...I have been thinking of upgrading my Rustler from the stock radio and get an additional Rx and use my 3pm

Yes this is huge for me because i hate having 10 different radios. rather have 1 and an rx in each vehicle. And on tower it shows in the title it works with the 3pk but when you open the page to read the specs it only shows for 3pm so i am really confused. I imagine it should work they are both Futabas Fasst system on 2.4ghz. But i Might just have to spend the money and get the 3pk.
If any one reads this thread and has access to both rx's and a 3pk a test would be greatly appreciated.

Well i thought of that too but you know how a company can boost their own product. I have been told things before by a company that are sure to work and dont. But that is certainly an option. Another is just by the 3pm for now then buy a 3pk later test it and report back on my findings. Then just sell the 3pm later down the line.

I don't know about the Futaba system, but I do know that older Spektrum DX2/2.0/3/3.0 receivers work with the DX3r. The old receivers just aren't "dsm2", but still work fine...
