Is this enough torque? - 07.10.2008, 10:14 PM

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=h01_k9V5FyE had to share :) It's my Medusa 36-60-2000 ,which I keep hearing people say doesn't have enough torque for a MT :) ,with Quark 80b esc and SPC 8000 mah lipos.I love these lipos.I just got them but they seem to be very good.I pulled a 46 mph speedrun with 24/68 gears, which by the calculator should only be 40 with .7 inches added for ballooning. They are holding great voltage.

Nah, not really - I was disappointed with only one backflip

Pretty cool for that big a truck. Have you done any extended runs and temp'ed things out.

As much as I can.The quark overheats if I push it to hard ,surprised :),for more then 10 minutes.I did a minor heat mod,and added caps, that helps, but it's really just a temp to get me through till the mmm is available.I added a heatsink to the Medusa after the first run with it got up to 160,but i also had it geared higher at the time.Since then I've never seen it above 150.Today I ran for about 20 mins and it was 128.

I would keep the WOT from a stop to a minimum..this is the action that is hardest on your drivetrain.

Wow! I didn't think those less-potent motors had that much power!
