I use deans on all of my RC stuff. The motorcycle packs get 6.5mm deans, but I have adapters for both the ESC and batteries so that I can use them with deans too. Works well, and makes putting packs in series a breeze. Positive is female on battery, and Negative is male. I use shrink wrap to keep them close together so there is less chance of short. Insulated male sides could be used to keep the positive terminal encased for storage.
