Got it updated and thank you for the help. What is the biggest change to this new update? Now that I did it once it will be a piece of cake in the future. Thanks again!

I just got the update cable from aircraft world. I also ordered a hyperion y22s 6000. This is such a nice motor. I haven't run it yet of course but I can't get over how nicely it's made. The shaft doesn't turn over smoothly like my other motors 20mm motors (I can't remember what this type of motor is called). I like it. I cant wait to see how it goes.
Savage: FLM Conversion, 6s, MMM, CC 1520.
Mini-T Pro: Micro Pro 6800kv, Lipo, HS-81mg, Dirt Hawgs
M18MT: Quark 33A, Y22S 6000kv, FP 2s Lipo
LRP S8-BX: RC-M Conversion, Tekin RX8 B1600KV, 6S.

I'm also looking at getting a yc motor for my mini-t. The thing I'm concerned about is the protruding bearing carrier at the front. I've had a few motors made for air use that also had that little protruding bit and it didnt fit properly because of it. It's not too hard to make up an adaptor for it though. Let me know how it goes.

I found the update process rather anti climatic.....they could have at least made it take longer!!
BTW, it worked nicely on my Vista machine (something none of my other items that require updates have had success with).
Losi 8T 1.0, Savage Flux - XL style, LST XXL, Muggy, 3.3 E-Revo Conversion and sitting outside 425hp, 831 Tq Dodge Ram Turbo Diesel. It SMOKES

I have found the Yc motors to be a lot more durable than the Mambas, and that is the short model I would think the long can will be even more so

Is there a way to tell what firmware is on the DUO without hooking it up to a computer? Im asking because I want to buy one, but the store doesnt know what firmware is on it. They said they just got them from their distributor, if that helps.
Thanks
-Brad

Probably not unless you actually have it in your hands - it shows it on the screen on startup.

If their distributor does a volume businessin hyp chargers, it should be v1.6. Several places that sell them are advertising v1.6.

I did the update and it worked fine. It wasn't that fast but maybe that was because I was using a slow old usb1.1 laptop. I used the charger for the first time to charge lipos and it worked well. Much quicker then my other 50w charger.
I ran the Hyperion Y22s 6000kv in my M18MT with my stuttering quark and I was very surprised to see that the stuttering had almost completely disappeared. I have no idea why but I like it as I can now use the Mamba 6800 and micro pro in the mini-t and the quark and y22s in the m18. Sammus I can check the fit of the y22c in the mini-t for you if you'd like. I don't see why it wouldn't fit other then you will need to dremel the motor plate out for the mounting holes on the motor. The protruding bearing carrier doen't stick out as far as some motors either.
What is the difference between the yc22s and y22s? I know the yc is for cars but what have they changed?
