Ok I got the motor mount installed did not have time to run it. Fit and finish were nice bet the production model will be sweet. The dude and I were worried about bracing the larger Neu motor. I can honestly say that I do not believe a brace is necessary. It took quite a bit of force to get the motor and the mount to flex. It fit perfect in the mounting locations and some 4mm button heads to secure it to chassis. It is very rigid. The swivel action is a great feature for setting the gear mesh. So far overall looks like it will be another homerun. I am going to use plastic spurs this weekend so I can tell if the motor mount is flexing causing funny spur wear. Here are some quick pics of it mounted up. gonna have to do some creative work to get the gear cover on. LOL

I was using one of Holmes Hobbies early custom jobs, It's a large, low kv outrunner directly running the input shaft. It's a neat set up for speed runs but it's not really very good for the application, too much mass to spin from start-up and it's very sensitive to driveline shock. If I did it again, I would use a slipper and an inrunner motor. However, with what I learned between the e-maxx and the LST, I ended up building a BL Muggy which is way better than either one imho. The Muggy is simply much better handling, mostly due to a low cg but I do wish that Mike would make with the Slipperential!!

Here's one I built with an E-Maxx tranny. AS long as you do all the upgrades to the tranny ( upgrade pin on input shaft gear, steel idler gear, and gorilla maxx drive adapter ) it works great. Here's a couple of pics.

hi mate i was gonna try do something with my chassis but what you have there looks ideal any chance on some info on where i can get one like that or did you make it your self
what spur and pinion you running on that

That maxx-tranny job looks factory. Nice job on it for sure.

I think there is an excellent market for someone who comes out with a nice lst/lst2/aftershock electric conversion kit.

Hi I made it myself, I'm running mod1 gears 9XL with 18t pinion and 52t spur, I'm using an MGT spur/slipper, it's exactly like an E-Maxx slipper only mod1.

If you have the chassis designed on cad you could at least sell the file, I am sure many would pay for it. Or even better, make them yourself and sell them. I think basing it off the 3905 tranny would be best.

Again, it is a very impressive conversion to say the least.

Thanks for all the good words guys. The truck does work extremly well though, I personally think it's a better option than a Revo IMHO. I think you guys are convincing me to produce some of these, but make no mistake it is very time consuming pursuing things like this. I looked at the 3905 tranny, but I'm pretty sure it would not work for this application because the motor mount flares out right at the bottom of the tranny and it looked to me like it would interfere with the battery tray mount location. i got my mgt rr slipper and spur turning up soon 54 tooth
i have also been told that the lst 2 speed 2nd gear will fit the rr slipper hub. not sure how it would effect the gearing as this seems to be a fair bit bigger 60+ teeth
how would effect the temps of the motor esc and batterys as i am going to be useing the old emaxx transmision on the lst chassis

pinions i have to use are the 16/17/18/and 20 tooth

hi got a second hand emax chassis today so im gonna try mount that onto the top deck of the lst that should give me a base to put the emax transmision and some where to mount the lipos
at least i will be able get it together and then see about getting some kind of alloy chassis made made up to replace stock one whilst weighting for my mamba monster 2200 kv combo

You had a lot of weight on that revo with all the aluminum. That was probably a lot of your issue with breakage. When that much weight moves around at high speed in a truck that size, carnage gets worse. I went through this with my first to maxxes. Adding aluminum everywhere and trying to make it bullet proof, but the more I put on the more problems I had. My 3905 maxx is basically stock except for the BL system and radio and I don't have hardly any problems. If I break a part I replace it with a stock part and go on.
