Need a racer for my local track. - 08.07.2008, 02:50 PM

Here is my local track - http://www.larrysperformancercs.com/...ck_Information

Now for some advice from you guys that race.
I have no idea what any of the terms mean on the track info page. Though i will be a rookie racer i still want the fastest class i can in because i am a good driver and like speed. I realize i may not win but i'm in it for the fun for the time being.
Next is i want to do the 1/10 scale with jumps but not sure what class that is and i still need a vehicle. Also like i said i like to mod my vehicles so i need to know what is legal to put in and what is not.

i will research a lot of this but mainly want your opinions on what is the best route to take.
Thinking on the B44 as a vehicle though (i like 4wd)

I fly, I drive, but most of all I crash.

The 501x, b44, d4 and Predator are all good options.

Well the x10 is nice but also really expensive.. Although i only found it for sale on the manufacturers website all others were reviews which BTW were all good.
I found the b44 at amain for 309 so i dont know yet. I know AE parts are easy to get so i may just go with the b44. But either way do you know what motors are legal off hand that are fast. I will contact my track for specifics just anxious to start looking NOW.

I am also actually looking into getting into racing 4wd 1/10. The two cars I am considering at the moment are the Associated B44 and Hot Bodies D4. What I really liked about the d4 was that it had metric screws, although the top plate has to be raised a couple mm in order to run the battery I want to (Trakpower 4800 saddle pack). The B44 uses standard size screws (unfortunately) but I am not sure if the Trakpower pack will fit without mods. Parts availability for both are great, and I think even better for the b44. Price however, leaves the D4 behind at $375, as the B44 can be gotten for $310.

k looked at the d4 and it is cool but as jnev said it is more. So i think the b44 it is but know for the electronics. hmmmm what is legal to race? This i think i will have to contact my track for. I need to get some things anyway so i will get informed hopefully soon.
