The only thing I'm concerned about would be the LiPos. The ESC and motor temps, although hot, are well within spec. You may try going UP a tooth or so on the pinion. When you say "EXTREMELY soft sand" I'm thinking upper beach type sand. Having a lower ratio will control tire spin to some degree and reduce motor rpm, which will reduce the motor and ESC temps a bit. Depending on your throttle control it may induce a higher load on the LiPos, so be careful and check the temps a few times while running.
