Nah, I've also upgraded to the machined ring and pinion gear from the XL. I shim them properly too. It's my driving. My Savage spends most of it's time at a small BMX track that has a 6ft jump that is vertical at the peak. On 6s, this 15lb truck will hit almost 20ft and pull 15ft on 4s. Every once in a while I have a brain fart and use too much brakes causing the nose to drop, so instead of nosing it into the ground I hit the gas at the last minute which puts a big strain the the rear diff pinion (the only part that strips).

I've been having a hard time finding the sweet spot on the 52t XL slipper so I've left it on the tighter side. With only 1 slipper pad it's not as good as the dual slipper.
