RE-Building A123 Packs

I think (and this is only based on heresay) that the use of different cells was only a short term solution to the trucking issue in China. But i could be wrong about that.

BTW, there is a guy on RC groups selling two 14 cell packs (he's a flyer) for 250 for both of them (shipped). They are used, but he claims they have only a few runs on them.
