Possible capacitor damage - 08.22.2008, 11:11 AM

How resilient is the capacitor on the HV? I used a wire clamp to hold it in place, and apparently choose the wrong size of clamp and ended up deforming the capacitor. It seems to run ok, but could this cause any issues? Should I watch out for any particular symptoms?

Losi 8T 1.0, Savage Flux - XL style, LST XXL, Muggy, 3.3 E-Revo Conversion and sitting outside 425hp, 831 Tq Dodge Ram Turbo Diesel. It SMOKES

Someone more electrical can opine but worst case you could have created a short and hence getting no value from the cap - best option would be to replace depending on how "deformed" it is...

Email charlie@teamnovak.com and ask him about the module. It's probably not a good idea to run the esc again until you see what he has to say.
