Oh. I did not know that! SolidWorks is real nice, too. I've been using AI since high school, so I kinda stuck with it.

bb i am about to buy a mill this winter and convert it t cnc what g-code cad software you recommend, i am totally new to this cad stuff but need figure it out just need to know good software to use.
I fly, I drive, but most of all I crash.

the cnc software and the CAD software are completley independant of each other- as long as you export your files from CAD in a format that the CNC can read your fine

yeah that is what im saying i dont know what ones to get.. My cnc machine will use mach3 and what ever else i need and that is what i am confused on.

I believe this may be a all in one type deal not sure. this is what will come with my stepper motors and control box but it seems this can design certain things but not a total cad type software. http://www.machsupport.com/
