My Birthday Present To Myself - 10.20.2005, 08:36 PM

I decided that I needed a new toy for my birthday, so I got myself my fourth AE, a TC3:

Of course, I had to top an awesome car with an equally awesome body, so I went for a scale version of what my grandpa has:

This isn't just any normal onroad, it's a drifta!

Now, if you'll excuse me, I've got some street surfing to do. :)

Camel has been an underground drifter for quite a bit now. I recall an 18th scale drifting movie.

Nice ride Camel. What runtimes do you get on this setup?

Nah, no vids of any drifting, they mysteriously dissappeared a while ago. However, feel free to check out his RC Pics account to see some of the stupid junk we've done. :D

Nice ride camel!
If you want to make your Benz truly authentic, you should change the S600 to S65.
AMG changes Mercedes' three number naming to their two number naming to represent how many liters their engine is. It's actually a 6.4 liter but S65 sounds better than S64.:D
Sorry, I'm just really into cars, especially fast ones like AMG!

I thought I was more of an offroader, too. Oh well! I'm using ABS, cause it's the good stuff. You don't see a lot of the S600's, especially one drifting around! Yes, that is a stupid question. We all know that the 8s will eventually go in there.

Wait a second, sounds a little ricey there. The carbon is cool, but use it sparingly. And when you say "tuner mufflers" please tell me that you don't mean fart tubes. I'd like to see it in action.

Oh yes, I started the RC drifting craze when I discovered that film canisters worked as drift wheels on my micro RS4.

Here's that vid:
