hyper st truggy bash video - 08.25.2008, 03:59 AM

well , me and my best buddy nigel brown ( yes 3d r/c helicopter champ) have been working on our own track in his back yard over the last couple of months as we were banned from our 1/10 scale track .
Both of us ex moto-x racers (well i still race now and again)
have put a fair bit of time and effort into this super-x style track . its still incomplete but we got the basic design up and going for now.

it has retic , and power and we are yet to install light poles for night bashing.
we have to rebuild and bigger rostrum and do the track skirting.. we might resurface with hardpack clay , but at the moment watered sand is holding up great and easier to work with.

this is a poor video that we took of yesterdays bash (improved videos will come !!)

me orange body yellow wheels hyper st pro MM 1515 2200kv on 5s
nigel (heli guy) red body losi 8ight-t MM 1515 1700kv 4s
patrick (also on these forums) blue shell thunder tiger st with quark monster pro 1515 2200kv on 4s. rip quark later that day :(

That track is just unbelievable! Looks like so much fun to run on. It looked like the trucks handled the crashes and cased jumps pretty well too.

it not often we have breakages , ive broken front arm , rear arm and a front shock shaft. and we bash like that for about 5-6 batts one after another . and everyweekend for the couple of months .. ( i was the test subject for testing how big we make the jumps , pretty much hit it pinned , where it landed . we put a down ramp .. haha

the sand can cushion the landing a bit , if we re surface in clay , we WILL break alot more stuff .

thanks for looking , hope i ca get some better videos up soon

hey i havent had any probs with MM on 5s , with a 1515 1y geared 52/13 (42 mph)
only mod i have is a 25mm fan running off the spare channel output on receiver.

temps after a full pack are about 40-50 deg C esc and 60 deg C for motor.
thanks for looking

Nice vids and great track , fark that's some big air you get, what else to expect from a mxr

Those temps are great , have you tested yet in that WA heat .
