Looking for a motor!!!

I have now geared my 1515 2.5d Tekno Neu up. 56/25 is a bit much for this combo on 4s but temps after 5min where great. ESC 107*, motor 121*, Lipos 105*, with an ambient Temp of about 87*. However performance was poor and top speed actually seemed to suffer. I changed the gearing to 62/25 which gives me a bit more top end than the 54/20 and still has plenty of low end. This is giving me about 35MPH which is plenty to have fun with till I upgrade to 6s. Overall - Very happy with this motor, glad I didn't fall victim to another Feigao.

I may have needed to adjust the punch control for that gearing, I currently have of set at 80%. Although they are MA packs I'm quite sure they where keeping up, 6000mah packs and barely warm. Either way for me I'm pretty happy with 35MPH. I may try regearing again and adjusting the punch. I'd also like to get the 58t spur and see how that works for me.

yea that is alot of punch control, but that should not have affected your top speed, esspecially if your geared up

I have found that disabling the punch control and using the throttle curve adjustment works well...gives you good control will still keeping the snappy performance

ive never tried that. so how do you have your throttle curve set? hows it look like

it starts in the lower left hand corner of the graph and goes laterally for a little than I start to cuve upwards slightly than its a straight line going in the direction of 2 O'clock

laterally means horizontal line correct? so you start in the lower left corner then move up like a millimeter, then horizontal line for 1/2 inch, then straight line in the direction of 2 o clock?
