10000mah 6s $110 "Possible?" -
09.06.2008, 12:52 AM
Well I was browsing allbattery for the hell of it and stumbled apon some 1250mah 3.7v lipo cells from tenergy. I know that they dont have the greatest rep in the world but just listen. Each cell has 1250mah at 15c cont and supposidly 23-24c bursts. If this is correct the amp ratings will be 18.75a cont and between 28.75-30a bursts. What Im thinking of is ordering 14 cells. 8 cells would be wired in parallel and the other 6 cells will be wired in series to give it a total spec of a 10,000mah 6s lipo with a capability of 15c cont and 23c bursts all for a total of under $110. I know its alot of building, soldering & thinking but if someone had the time and patients to do it I think it would be a big reward. Im still pondering if I should take a stab at it.
Heres the cell- http://www.all-battery.com/index.asp...OD&ProdID=2421

And yes I am already aware that the specs will be very different from what were use to seeing here on rcm. The specs would be (64mm x 34.5mm x 84mm). And yes it is taller than it is long.

10ma? Where you getting that? Sorry if this is a dumb question but I'm not seeing it. If you have 2p6s of 2000mah cells wouldn't that be 4000mah? (I'm just using 2000mah as an example.

I'm confused how you would get a 6s 10,000mah pack from only 14 1250mah cells. wouldn't you need 48 cells to do that?
You would need 8 cells in parallel to get 10,000mah and that's only 3.7v.
if you wanted 6s in parellel you would need 6 * 8 = 48 and you'd end up with a 6s8p pack costing you $367.20
am I wrong on this? :/

Yeah you need 48 cells, which would be $367.2 like JeffEmbracedDC said, 1440 grams + all the solder to join 48 cells together, and if you single stacked all the cells it would be 64mm x 34.5mm x 288mm.
Sorry, but it won't work how you want.

it'd actually work if you got two of these for $267.80.. http://www.hobbycity.com/hobbycity/s...idProduct=6353 Parallel the two packs in a 6s2p configuration.
it'd be 3.5 lbs (1558 grams).. but at 25c that's discharge rate of 250a
Sick.

What Im saying is if you ordered 14 cells and wired 8 of them in parallel that would give you 10,000mah and the other 6 would be wired in series to give you the 6s voltage. Im am missing something?
