Very noob question but need to know how to - 09.15.2008, 01:59 PM

I have 4 custom painted bodies for emaxx and revo's the holes are not cut out
how do i line up and make holes in correct spot without being able to see thru
body because already painted thanks for help

1. get another body to line up with.
2. Try putting a bright light under the body and placing it on the truck, not sure if that'll work, depends on how thick the paint is but I imaginge that a mini-maglite should do the trick.

i usually put the body on how i want it and look under it putting my finger where you want the whole then drill the whole there. for some reason you can tell where your finger is even though you cannot see through.

works well for me....

Those are good suggestions, also might try a little wet paint drops on top of body post then push your new body onto the wet paint leaving transfer marks in the body, then clean paint off body post. Drill small holes at first to check to see if you like where they are.

This is usually what I do and it works well. Except I use a sharpie...

I've also added a tiny piece of tape to the top of the posts. Because the post tops are rounded, the tape sticks to the body when you pull it off again. Same idea as the paint/marker idea...
