.28 WASP and stock T-Maxx tranny - 10.28.2005, 04:49 PM

Funny for me to HOPE the gears would hold up,I haven't even completed the engine break-in yet and my gears are toast. I opened the tranny to find what looked like shredded coconut and almond slivers:eek: :lol :lol

I would like to go to a forward only 2 speed hardened steel gears through the whole tranny, or would alum. hold up?
Any sugestions would be great, with a link if poss.

Thank You Sir.
Anyone know anything about OTB gears and if they are still made and or where I can get a hold of some? I saw someplace that they quit making them, how true that is is beyond me. I'm kinda new to Nitro RC and only know what I've read and actualy tried myself(not much, lol) but I'm HOOKED for sure:C:

Mike can pretty much get anything that is made. If you drop him a pm or email he should be able to help you.

Hardcore used to make all metal gears don't know if theystill do.

Work because i gotta, play because i wanna

People here hate Nitro, I love it. I start it, run it about 50 ft from me and it dies, I go after it. Perfect exercise

Thank You hippie.

Are they(OTB) worth the money if I can find them? Or should Robinson "RRP"be ok I'd like to "BULLET PROOF" my tranny as much as poss . My diff.'s are next.

Also I installed the Robinson forward only conversion....should I have a 2 speed still or that make it a 1 speed? If I only have a single speed tranny now anyway to make it second gear instead of first?

not sure about the tranny but as for the diffs i would go for the fastlane bulkless system and 1/8th scale diffs.

I dont run a tmaxx so i cant give you a honest answer. But if you post your ? on the UE forum, someone there will be able to answer your ?. Also check the BST section at UE. People are always selling complete tranny's with the OTB & UE gears.
