Im not overly concerned with a price tag in regards to an ESC and would like to have the option to upgrade my batts at a later date(5s)are there any other alternatives you can think? Alotta guys at the local track are burning out thier Feigao motors, one guy has gone through 3, what can cause this so I can avoid it.
Thanks alot jhautz....Im taken notes.

Nothing is going to save a Feigao on the track. Its a cheap motor that will get you running, but they are not high quality and run hot. Not a good choice for racing IMO. If you are going to race it just get the Neu motor. You will eventually anyway.

There allot of other options for the speed control but they tend to be more expensive. Again check out the RC-Monster store. I actually like the Tekin R1Pro. With proper setup it will run 5s with no issues. I actually run one in my race buggy on 5s and a Neu 1512/3D motor. It doesn't have a heat sink on it so its a little more temperamental to temps, but it is smooth as butter in both throttle and brake controls. For something that will handle power check out the MGM controllers. Expensive but they will take some serious power and not have any worries about temperatures.

I can't decide if its more fun
to make it...
or break it...
