Not fast enough for me . Hopefully the 1.5T and 2.5T will be here in one and a half weeks from Monday. Should be lots of fun.

I'm very excited about this answer from Bob:

"The motors are done except for the rotors which were wound with Kevlar thread this morning. The glue has to dry for 24 hours so we will be testing them first thing tomorrow. I will let you know what the KV of each motor after we test them."

I can't wait to have the motors here.

I'll just keep them as suviner as what will probably be the first 2 of it's kind. One question though? Does the normal 2.5R gets toasted? You know they are at 12,000-13,000Kv .

Neither should be any worse than a HV 4.5 on 5s.

Alright . The motors are ready and they'll be shipped on Monday. SpEEdyBL was right on the money with the Kv values. Here is what Bob has just sent me:

"Here are the KV tests I did on the two motors.

Input voltage measured at Speed control power input

Motor Vin Aload KV

2.5 5.0 3 7900 Free running (no load)

2.5 4.0 30 7125 Loaded

2.5 5.0 43 6960 “

2.5 6.0 57 6700 “

2.5 7.0 73 6515 “

1.5 5.0 9 12,630 Free running (no load)

1.5 4.0 91 9750 Loaded

As you can see the 1.5 is pulling a lot of current at 4 volts so I did not want to run it at any high load. My suggestion would be to run the 2.5 for most of your runs and then use the 1.5 for the last few runs in case it blows up.

We will ship the motors Monday."

I have no idea what size you wear, so I would not bother...

Have fun with the speed runs!

Those motors are going to be freakish!

I can't wait to see how they perform (I'm really curious as to how hot they'll run).
