That's alot of cash! How much will a lathe set you back? You should consider one of these:

Should be a good start, and if I outgrow it I can always sell it locally and buy something bigger.

Nice, but you will *most likely* have to also buy their $150 lathe stand.

I have some really sturdy metal tables, that I can use as a stand.
