Newbie here....to this forum at least. Yes, I am ship jumper. Not really a newb to RC, but I am looking forward to being here on the Monster! I have used this forum for info before, but never joined. Scary to say, but I was always a fan of Neil over at TRX, and have always appreciated BrianG's info too. I will say thanks to Brian for at least still posting over there, and keeping some of the good info going. There are some good folks over there, and we did all start as a newb at some point. Well, maybe not Neil!

Welcome to the forum. I see that your in Jersey, that means you can make it to the bashes at the barn, and don't tell me it's to far to drive cause I drove 3 1/2 hours each way last weekend! Would like to see more electrics there next time I go. This is a great forum to belong to. Lots of info to be shared as well as jokes.
Yes we did all start as newbs at some point but some of us come into the hobby with a lot more knowledge on certain aspects such as motor theory, A x V = W, soldering skills, and such. I say welcome the newbs but they need to be able to do some research before asking questions, read through threads and do some searching before asking questions cause chances are it's already been asked.

Generally speaking when asking questions it's proper to end the sentence with a ? or maybe in his case that would be ???????????????????????? My suggestion to him is if his truck doesn't work he should either throw money at it and hope it fixes itself or send it to me and I'll take it off his hands! (That actually deserves an exclamation)

When I came here about a year ago, the only brushless truck I had was a rustler and stampede, both running the same system. It was a sidewinder 5700 system that I ran on 2 and 3s. It eventually fried on 3s, a 250+ degree magnet-destroying, hellish site. I always had the dream of converting a revo, and that actually led me to this site. On google I saw "Brushless ESC, motor, lipo battery experte, RC-Monster." I basically crapped my pants (not literally) when I saw they had a forum. First thing I did was PM Dafni about his G3 slipperential revo, asking about the price. Oh, the memories...

Not to just keep this going, but now the TRX forums are down:
Traxxas.com will be offline for maintenance upgrades tonight from 10/02/08 11:00pm CT and will be back online on 10/03/08 4:00am CT.
Never seen that screen before. Way to go Neil, you blew up the whole system! LOL!

Just a suggestion.. after seeing the "Where'd everybody go" thread that Monster-Mike cleaned house on...
I'd let the TRX forums issues die and move on...
as stated above.. He will Ban users with no warning, and is... as I don;t think he is too happy with having to police the issue.
