DARNIT!!! I just bought the biggest, baddest servo I could find for my Muggy and now they go and do this...

Oh well, if I ever get a Baja that'll do nicely in there.

The price looks pretty good for something of this calibre.
You can always wire the servo directly to a 2s lipo (with a lvc between), and power the receiver with the esc bec. Or buy a ccbec and set it for 7.2v and wire the output to the servo directly.

I did this with my friends axial crawler. He runs a tower pro 995 and we are running it on 7v thru a ccbec, and running the rec with the sidewinder internal bec. Just pull the signal wire off the servo, and plug it into the reciever, then wire the pos and neg of the ccbec output to the pos and neg of the servo... He must have 10+ hours on it so far, and it is still working. Not bad for a $12 servo.

the 230 oz .06 version would be killer but there is no way in hell you need 480oz in anyhting but a 1/5 scale, most all the top drivers are only runnig 125 oz .06 sec servos in both their buggies and truggies........

I don't know, I like my hitec 333oz servo for my monsters. Maybe not when racing but when bashing in the rough it sure helps.

That's a good idea. I didn't think of powering it directly.
