OIT is a VERY hands on school, this is one of the main reasons that i chose to go here over some of the other schools in the nearby area like (OSU to name one). I have had courses in welding and machining, and will have more before i graduate that in my opinion give me a better idea of how the manufacturing side of Engineering works. I also plan on getting into an internship through MECOP this upcomming year to further inhance my "curb appeal" to employers as well as get a better understanding of Mechanical Engineering in practice.
