Yeah, so this set-up will be powerfull but not stripping everything into littel pieces:p

This is what i could do in my FLM savage... (Lehner 2230-11 & 6S)



They're basically saying, use a lower kv motor to keep rpm below 40k and temps down, and gear the truck up higher to get the speed you want, as the lower kv will have more torque to push the higher gears without heating up so much =)

It's always good to add 0.5-1" of ballooning to get an accurate picture of how fast you'll really have your vehicle geared to go. Example: My BPP is geared for 34MPH and when I clocked it the speed was 46MPH which is exactly what Brian's calculator said it would be with 1" of ballooning. I have now a 20T in there which should give me 51MPH, but I might go down to a 16T just to keep things at a good bashing level.

Just had this same conversation with castle tech help today. Have the same truck but mine is about 18 lbs. He recomended the 1521 1y as the biggest alternative.
