Mugen mbx5t, Jammin X2 CRT, or Losi 8t??? - 11.02.2008, 07:13 AM

i need some help here. my brushless addiction started with the Rustler VXL. after that i got the Losi 8b with the tekno conversion kit, Neu 1512 1.5D. then i got the Losi 8t with the tekno and a 1515 1.5D and i am hooked on truggies. i already sold the Rustler and the buggy bores me now that i have the truggy.
so here is where i am stuck. impaktrc.com has some awesome new square canned Neu motors and also new conversion kits for the jammin x2 crt as well as the Mugen mbx5t. i want to build a new truggy ( i have some carbon fiber sheets that i plan to use for a custom carbon fiber chassis) but i am stuck on which one to go with. the Mugen, jammin, or stick with my losi? i have looked at them over and over and i see plusses and minuses to all of them. i am wondering if anyone out there has experience with driving these and what they liked better. the one main drawback to the Mugen is that it is now out of production and i can only find a used one. the jammin is brand new so there are few hop up parts avail yet. i already know what to expect from losi. thoughts?

i have owned them all except my jammin was the old one(x1crt) and the mugen is my favorite because of how tough it is
the losi turned the best out of the three but the plastic wore out and i had troubles with the diffs, the mugen doesnt steer as good, it is more of a point and shoot truck, the harder you drive it the better it feels, the losi you had to be smooth with and the jammin was too heavy worked ok but i didnt like it compared to the other 2
i would go with the mugen, just my .02

thanks scott! that is very helpful. the Mugen has really been the one that i wanted from the get go but now i cant find a new one and i am worried it will be very tough to get parts. i already know that none of my local hobby shops carry Mugen but i am willing to order online for a superior truck.

anyone have a new X2 CRT? how are they compared to the losi 8t?

my mugen was the prospec i have a ton of parts too if you do get a mugen also a main is still selling the parts, i am not too worried about parts.
the plastic on the losi was the front and rear arms just develope slop faster than the mugen, i also had problems with the diffs in my 8t, the pins would were grooves in the cups and then they would lock up, probably not a problem now with the hd diff cups but something to watch for, check out ebay or truggyracers.com i know there are a few rollers on there for sale
