All I can say is....

This thing is awesome.

looks good. i want one so bad lol. but saddly it would be nitro and my 5r would be brushless . that way i can race the 6 at the local track and not have people getting mad at me lol.

This is the MMM V2 BTW.

I have ran it for maybe a combined time of 3 hours and I haven't had a single problem yet.

I can't seem to get the temps of the speed control above 110F no matter how hard I run it either. I've had nothing but good luck!

Just doing some running in my front and back yard yesterday. I really want to make it to a track, thats all i'm going to say.

Temps were

MMM: 100F
1512 2.5D:140F
Lipo(4S Zippy 5000):105F

My lipo's always seem to run slightly hotter than they really should. Is it an MMM setting I should change or what? I charge the lipos with the equinox balancer in interface mode, and I still get these high temps. The packs feel a little soft after the runs too.
It doesn't make sense as these packs are not very old and haven't been ran much at all. If they are sitting around for more than a week I will balance charge them.
Is it time for new packs?


Well anyways upon running, and keeping in mind i'll be racing this winter, I think I want to step up to 5S and gear lower.

I am going to say that the MBX-6 has performed flawlessly. It seems like the drivetrain has loosened up quite a bit and it is very smooth now. But I do hear a "squeeky" noise coming from the front somewhere when the wheels spin, I can't find out where it is coming from. But there is no binding, so it might just go away. Could be a bearing, but I doubt it.

Right i'm running 14/46. I want to gear 17/46 with the 4S lipo, but I can't get ahold of a new pinion.

What motor mount are you using? Any issues with the stock kit diff mount on the other side? I mean, how much did you have to shim either one. Also, how did you mount your battery tray? I should have my MBX6 tomorrow and I'm trying to figure out what else I need. My 777 conversion was easy because I used an RCPD kit.

I'm using the RCM Mugen motor mount.
I actually did not shim the diff at all. It seems like there is no slop at all. All you really need is the RCM motor mount, and a battery tray.
I'm using the RCM battery tray and put a few shims on the bottom of the tray before mounting them using 3 of the stock chassis holes. I just split the stock radio tray in half just for the steering servo also. - actually, everything has taken alot of abuse so far with no breakage.

thats electric man, lol i hear that from time to time, but its not nothing to worry about a nitro engine will normally hide that

What's the purpose of splitting the stock radio tray in half? I'm not getting this? Do you have any pics?

Also what kind of gears do you need for a successful conversion? Thanks

You have to split the stock radio tray in half for these conversions because otherwise it'll get in the way of the motor. There is no after market steering servo mount for the MBX6 at the moment.

Not sure what you mean by what kind of gears.

I run the RCM pinion gears, and all the other gears (spur, diffs) are all stock.
