Hahahah! That's great... I've use duct tape to hold my battery before...I admit it. Though it was only one pack.

Anyways, I agree with what pretty much everyone else said about your series/parallel adapter being to long. Depending on where you mount the esc you could cut that down to 1/4 of its current size. The battery leads themselves are OK, since each battery has the same length leads on it and the load will be split evenly.
